Heather & Blossom Honey Harvested in the Highlands

Home-Made Preserves, Chutneys, Mustards, Sauces & Curds

Natural

Pure, Natural Scottish Honey

Our family, the Robertsons of Conon Bridge – a small village in the heart of the Scottish Highlands – keep many millions of happy bees which we take to forage for nectar across heather-clad moors of the Cairngorms National Park in the late summer, and wild flower carpeted hills and glens in spring.

Our busy bees produce around 15 tons of premium Highland heather and blossom honey for us to harvest from our 500 hives each year.

Heather honey, in particular, is a unique and special crop that is prized for its delicious flavour, texture and, above all, its value as a nutrient-rich “superfood”.

Pure, natural Scottish heather and blossom honey – and our signature tasty cheeky blend of honey with malt whisky – is lovingly harvested and bottled at Struan Apiaries, available to buy from select local retailers in Scotland, England and abroad, or you can order direct from us at our online store in any quantity you require.

Ambrosia Bee Feed Stockist

As a leading apiary in Scotland we are pleased to be national suppliers and local stockists in the Dingwall IV15 postcode area of Ambrosia® Bee Feed. This ready-to-use food for bees contains a balanced spectrum of sugar types (fructose, glucose, and sucrose) with a base of pure beet sugar.

This special recipe, designed to be as close as possible to natural bee nutrition, is designed for early and late winter feeding when bees may become short of stores and there is little nectar around. It’s also useful for feeding nucleus colonies during periods of bad weather.

Something else we offer in abundance comes courtesy of our brilliant bees themselves. Our little inhabitants of our apiary ensure there is plenty of pollination to sustain our natural vegetation and crops in the vicinity.
